City of Franklin Police Department Salary: Police Officer Trainee
$34,607.00 increased to $36,821.00 after completion of state certification

Applicant Requirements:
An applicant must:
- Be 21 years of age
- Pass a written and physical ability test
- Possess a valid Virginia driver’s license, or be able to obtain one, with no negative points
- Have no conviction for Driving under the influence (DUI)
- Have 20/20 vision or correctable to 20/20 vision
- Have weight in proportion to height
- Have no convictions of felonies and/or misdemeanors
- Pass an extensive background investigation
- Pass a psychological, medical, drug screening and polygraph examination
- Possess the ability to speak clearly, hear, analyze and react quickly to high stress situations
