Chesterfield County PD Offers a Pre-Certified Officer Transfer Program Make a Smart Choice with A Force for the Future
Chesterfield County, a suburb of Richmond, Virginia, is offering an excellent opportunity. Current openings in our Pre-Certified Academy are designed for individuals who have previously met minimum basic training standards for the position of Police Officer. Selected officers will participate in an abbreviated 11-week academy followed by a 8-week field training program.
To be eligible, you must:

Possess law enforcement certifications that are comparable to Virginia Department of Criminal Justice Services,

Have been employed as a Patrol Officer, Patrol Deputy or Detective within the last 6 months,

Have at least 3 years of continuous service with your most recent law enforcement employer, and
-
Successfully pass all phases of our police officer selection process.
